Nike's Jordan brand was tired of the tropes. Every basketball ad seemed to be the same: an NBA superstar, alone in a darkened gym, dunking in slow-motion. They challenged Wieden + Kennedy to do something different. What would basketball look like, if it were captured like a skate video? So we set the way-back machine for 1993 (the golden age of the form) and enlisted Lee Dupont who shot some of the most iconic skate videos and happened to be a basketball fan. Instead of capturing the action from the sidelines, we got right in the mix to share another dimension of the game.
